A domain registered through us belongs to you, not to us, and not on condition of staying. You can move it to any registrar you choose, with no exit fee.
- Ask for the transfer code: write to us from the Support tab, or use "Get the transfer code" in the account deletion steps if you are leaving altogether. We email the code to your account address within 2 working days.
- Give the code to the registrar you are moving to and start the transfer there. They charge their own price, which usually adds a year to the registration.
- Before the switch, ask your new registrar or host which DNS records to recreate, or copy yours from the Domains tab first, so your site and email keep working.
ICANN forbids moving a domain to another registrar within 60 days of its registration or its last transfer. After that, whenever you like.
